Once upon a time I used to be a Manager - shops, restaurants and student accommodation.

I took some great holidays in what time I could. Predominantly I like exploring and walking, so I trekked to Everest Base Camp, visited Australia, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro amongst others.

Since leaving office work in November 2013 I haven't looked back. I've travelled Nepal, India and South East Asia extensively, spent my summers working across the UK music festivals for a charity (third year running now), and walked 915km on the Camino de Santiago in France and Spain.

I spend my winters at the moment in Italy working, trying to ski, and eating far too much great Italian food.

And as to the next adventure....who knows?!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of meeting fellow travellers from all walks of life and with different passions to share. For me travelling is as much about the people as the places. There's nothing better than sharing stories over a local drink, or round a campfire, and finding connections with people.

Yes Couchsurfing is a lot cheaper than staying in a hostel or hotel, but more than that it's so much more rewarding and authentic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've walked across Spain on the Camino de Santiago, one of the best experiences of my life. Starting out in St Jean Pide de Port, taking in Santiago and then going to both Finisterre and Muxia on the coast. I've worked out that it's 915km minus all the evening walks round the towns and to the pubs!
