About Me

Hello hello!

My name’s Dave and I’m an easy going guy with a passion for exploring forrest’s, growing food, swimming in the ocean, music, a renewable future, hiking, deep and philosophical conversations and writing.

A few years ago I spent some time hitchhiking around Australia and happened across an intentional community where I lived, worked and drafted my first work of fiction. I found myself there thanks to CouchSurfing and have a huge love of this platform and the community surrounding it.

My partner and our little family plan to move to Denmark in WA’s Great Southern where we can be closer to nature. Depending on our living arrangements, we would also love to be able to host guests.

I hope to meet other like minded individuals who value kindness, nature and the art of good conversation!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on here to connect, help and share with a community of like minded individuals.

Interests

Good conversation, Spontaneity, imagination, humour, swimming, yoga, nature, Camping, diving, hiking, fishing, travelling, reading, cooking, writing, music, videography, guitar.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite books change daily, but three stand outs are definitely Perfume by Patrick Suskind, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran

I don’t watch a great deal of television but Donny Darko is up there In my favourite films.

I play guitar and have a huge love for the musical language in all its various forms. I get down to classical and jazz and bump to dance music, funk, hip hop and rock. I really don’t have a favourite genre. Music needn’t be a competition!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent two years living Primarily off the land on an intentional community I happened across whilst hitch hiking around Australia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have always loved cooking and can teach people to cook different cuisines of the world. Can also teach a bit of guitar. Always happy to share stories as well!
