ABOUT ME

I am 25% Irish/75% English by birth. My granddad was full Irish but I was born in England. At 3 my parents moved to New Zealand where I grew up. In my 20's moved over to Australia where I have lived since. Right now I am rediscovering myself after spending a decade in a destructive marriage. That includes my love of traveling and socialising with people from around the globe.

PHILOSOPHY

I use a philosophy of treat others the way you would like to be treated. I believe in karma as in you do good to others then good things will come your way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Most places I travel to I generally have a friend I stay with. All my participation to date has been in a hosting capacity or attending various CS events. Being a Dockland resident as well I have begun to organise a few events in this area.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Relatively new to the Couch Surfing community but enjoying it a lot. Mingled with many people of many nationalities and I get a lot of joy from showing visitors around Melbourne

Interests

Traveling is one. Rediscovering my love of traveling and life after becoming single again.

Love my sports. Dont play much because of old injuries but love watching plenty of different sports. I'm a passionate All Black supporter and love my Rugby Union.

Enjoy listening to music. The TV at home is usually on sports or music. Like the old stuff (70s,80s,90s) most of all.

Music, Movies, and Books

Enjoy rock music and 70s,80s,90s. Movies I like all genres as long as the story and acting are solid. Not really a book person. Most reading I do is on blogs and websites rather than books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Won a $100,000 Grand Finals Weekend package in September 2012. Spent the Saturday in Melbourne driving around in a 24 seat stretch hummer and the Sunday in Sydney being driven around in limousines with 9 friends. Got to go to the AFL grand final which was awesome and had a private box at the NRL grand final with Wendell Sailor. Best weekend ever and ticked a hell of a lot of things off my bucket list that weekend.

Teach, Learn, Share

What I offer is the knowledge of my travels and the city I live in. Places of interest to see off the beaten track. What I hope to learn is the same from guests and hosts about the places they live or grew up in.
