Overview
About Me
I've lived in Providence for twenty years. I teach writing at a local community college and elsewhere. My other career concerns the development of insects as a global food-source. Granted, it's an odd combination. I am also the father of a wonderful daughter in her early teens.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I travel I like to have authentic experiences -- this means drinking in the landscape and being surprised. Also, I like to make new friends and this looks like a great way to do that. Lastly, I don't make a lot of money, therefore inexpensive accommodations will let me to do more with my travel dollar.

Teach, Learn, Share
Not sure what's best in this space.
Any conversation can teach us something. As for me, I have found that humor, creativity, and kindness are the best tools with which to finesse the malaise that sometimes intrudes upon existence.
What I Can Share with Hosts
In addition to storytelling, I can teach nearly anyone the basics of juggling and clowning, or practical mycology, or maybe other stuff.
