About Me

Hey!

I'm Dave! I like travelling, music, films and stuff.

I study German at the University of Bristol and have just finished an amazing year studying and working abroad in Kiel and Munich respectively.

I'm an outgoing guy who doesn't like to take things too seriously.

I really enjoy cooking so in return for a space on your couch I can repay you with white wine risotto or a pretty good chilli.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling around Europe this summer and couch surfing seems like a more fun and interesting way to experience the world!

Interests

Music, films, TV, comics and stuff. Rugby, comedy, anything!

I'm a member of The 5 C's, a Cardiff based charity which raises money and sends volunteers to help the Belarusian Children's Hospice in Minsk. Almost every summer for the past 6 years I've travelled to rural Belarus for a few weeks to help run the summer camp which gives ill and disabled kids a well deserved holiday.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - anything really! Currently enjoying Enter Shikari, Jean Tonique, Slaves, PC Music and Chance The Rapper (but you can't go wrong with some Pink Floyd or Meat Loaf)
The Rock is the greatest film ever made .

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once stroked a crocodile.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not entirely sure what this box is for...

It blows my mind that we all share this tiny planet but have different views, beliefs, perspectives and languages (this was probably at the core of my decision to study German.) I love learning from others, be it regional nuances and anachronisms or just the occasional local phrase. I like to think that this process can be reciprocated and that we're all just that little bit richer for spending time with people from different backgrounds.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Laughs, culture, I can teach you how to pronounce llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch

I do cook a mean risotto.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belarus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Gambia, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
