About Me

I'm a writer who likes to take life as it comes, I don't take it too seriously. I love rock n roll and having deep, meaningful conversations about all types of topics ranging from books to beer and back again.

I have traveled a bit and hope to see even more of the world in the coming years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope to meet cool people to hang out with when traveling, people who I can share some Irish culture and heritage with and people who are willing to be my teachers in the world.

Interests

I have been writing all of my life but really only began to take it seriously about 10 years ago, since then I find that writing opens up all kinds of adventures and possibilities for me. It has brought be around the world and back to my home town, maybe I will write a travel blog or guitar blog or even a writing blog someday... oh great, now I've got to do all three!

I'm very outgoing, willing to try almost anything but more than anything, I enjoy a great conversation with a good coffee or beer and good company.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Rock N Roll for the win! I'm very much a classic rock kind of dude.

Movies were in some ways my first love and I have many favorites and loves, pretty much anything from comedy to thriller but not really a horror flick fan.

Books, if you haven't read either Nineteen Eighty-Four or Catcher in the Rye then you should do it now, both of them need to be in your library.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been making movies for about eight years now and I even had a gala Hollywood premiere of one of my films, that was a really cool and awesome experience, even if at the time I was about as nervous as one can be.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love if someone could teach me how to actually play the guitar, I'm talking about show me something within 30 minutes that will make me a great player because I have no patience!

I will happily share Irish culture and ideas in exchange for cultural teachings. I'm always open to new things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you to write, I specialise in screenplays and story structure so if that is of use to you then happy days! I will share great conversations, chats and music with you should you like to share and I will always try and make people laugh.
