Overview
About Me
I'm just a lad from Leicester with a lust for life. Currently studying medicine in Sheffield, I like to travel as much as I can. Over the past few years, I’ve been to Central America (2016), the Balkans (2017), Australia (2017-18) and Morocco (2018).
My personal goal at the moment is to become more fluent in French, which I hope will enrich my travelling experiences. I have been studying French for the past couple of years and my plan is to put this to use this summer. I am in France for 7 weeks in June and July, travelling through the south and southwest (Nîmes, Montpellier, Avignon, Carcassonne, Toulouse, plus any other suggestions!) before a 4-week medical placement in Tours and a few days with my girlfriend in Bordeaux.
Music is a passion of mine - playing, listening and watching it live. Later this year, I'll be moshing to the Arctic Monkeys in their home city: Sheffield. Otherwise, you can catch me playing sport (in my Leicester City shirt), socialising over a cold beer or glued to a new book.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have friends who frequently use Couchsurfing, and rave about its benefits. As a student without much money, but with plenty of time for other people, I think this is the perfect way for me to make new friends and explore new places on a budget!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Volcano boarding down Cerro Negro in Nicaragua was pretty cool (and pretty hot!)
Teach, Learn, Share
I play guitar most days, and would be happy to pass on useful tips to any aspiring guitarists. I would be keen to improve my French speaking, for any francophones out there. I'm also always looking to learn new things, share what I've been reading and acquire as much knowledge from people around the world as I can.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A conversation about virtually any topic, from imperial history to current affairs; from the miracle of Leicester City's premier league winning season (2015-16) to the musical evolution of the Arctic Monkeys (2002-2018). I can also tell stories of my global misadventures over a cold beer and maybe even try to encourage you to come and explore the UK (in spite of Brexit...!)
