ABOUT ME

Sound is very important to me. I don't like barking dogs, listening to people on cell phones, bad 'restaurant music,' rap, hip-hop, trance.... I love Beatles, Steely Dan, some country, folk, jazz...the sound of rain, wind, water. I strongly dislike 'commercial reality;' I feel pity for those who buy into tabloid TV and other advertising. The best messages are the quieter ones which originate from within.

PHILOSOPHY

Tread lightly on the earth. "Do unto others...." Meditate. Eat mostly vegetables.

Algo increíble que he hecho

My trip to Europe when I was 17 was rather amazing. Traveling with about 30 exceptional students from high schools around Seattle (where I grew up), on the "People To People" travel/home-stay program for a month and a half to 9 countries, staying with 4 different families was a precious opportunity and experience.
Also, getting to make a living as a musician in and around Seattle for about 7 years was often (though not always), fulfilling and inspiring.
Diving in Thailand, snorkeling near Bali; hot spring resorts in Japan; driving across the USA 3 times. Many others....

People who listen at least as well as they talk. People who rarely watch TV; those who don't need to be constantly entertained or occupied by some device.... People who need to be working on some project or other. People who don't follow some prescribed belief. People who can focus and are not too easily distracted; those who enjoy a walk in the woods or along a beach, but perhaps also exploring a town or city; those who enjoy discovering the limitless variety of the world. People who value quietness, stillness, simplicity. People who have worked hard to develop a talent or skill that is useful to many.
