ABOUT ME

I'm a wanderer, they call me The Wanderer, I roam around and around and around and around and around...

It's true. I've never been one to put down deep physical roots, but I do have close friends everywhere I've been. The desert will always be home to me though. Nothing is as beautiful as a monsoon sunset in Arizona.

I'm a bit of a Renaissance man; I'm a painter; I'm a writer; I'm a musician; I'm a teacher. I do a little bit of everything.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'll do whatever I can to help fellow travelers enjoy their trip more by sharing a couch, or showing them around a bit, or just chatting over a beer. I love to meet people from all over the world. Never know when I'll be in their neighborhood.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a bunch and just recently had my first surfing experience down in Tucson. I've had such a great experience, and would recommend it to anyone. I hope one day to be an ambassador.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a music fanatic. I've got a collection of nearly 30,000 songs and can sing along to almost all of them. When we go to karaoke it can turn into an all out war. But I come out on top.

Currently rereading the Dark Tower series by Stephen King. Soooo good.

I went completely out of order. My favorite movie of all time reveals my hidden nerdiness: Jurassic Park. When I was young I knew every dinosaur out there, had the sheets, the little plastic cups, the plastic figurines, etc. These days I just have the sheets. Kidding. I wish I still had those sheets. I'm also a big fan of Amelie, Dark City, Pi, anything by Wes Anderson, etc. Movies that make me think.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took an ancient civ class at uni and wrote a huge paper about Machu Picchu, never thinking I'd make it down there. When I finally did, I watched the sun come up over the city and it was incredible.
