Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travelling Eastern Europe for the next 7 weeks. Ukraine to Croatia.
ABOUT ME
Have now committed to a full time job and the real world after 6 years of living and travelling away from home. I can only sometimes host depending on my work and other commitments.
About me, I am an independent traveler, you wont ever find me on a contiki or similar tour bus. I love the outdoors, I will spend most of my travelling time surfing, diving, hiking and camping. I prefer the small towns then the big cities.
Not much of party person anymore. Willing to take couch surfers surfing :) Always training, so if you need a run/swim/workout while travelling I am happy to bring you training too.
PHILOSOPHY
Why travel? To see and experience it for myself. Thats why.
'Those who live see much, those that travel see more' i forget whos quote that is. Mine now
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I heard about couch surfing from other travellers and love the idea of people opening their homes and hearts to other travellers and helping like minded people. I think its great that this community of people exists. One of the rewarding things of travel is the people you meet and friends you make.
I have hosted people i have met while travelling (when possible) and will always try to help out.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have stayed with a few people now and have enjoyed my experiences so much and wish i had done this sooner and really like it more then hostels as you get a better bond of friendship.
I am looking forward to going home so that i can host other people.
Interests
Outdoors, hiking and mountains, surfing, diving, snowboarding.
The ocean, i miss the australian ocean and surfing
Travel, of course
Sports, always a great way to spend a sunny afternoon. And i have now have ice hockey and soccer as well as rugby to enjoy.
Music, love live music, from festivals to small bars i always try to find a live music venue while travelling. Its also a good way to go to a bar and not feel alone and awkward.

Books: I like Chuck Palahniuk's style of writing, slightly tiwsted and wrong. And yes i will admit it, i just finished the hunger games books. Completed all game of thrones before the series was out.
Movies: Fav is lock, stock and 2 smoking barrels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Experienced the Northern Lights in Canada.
Walked through an old half ruined castle, all alone in the middle of a European forest.
Hiked for days over some of europes most beautiful mountains.
Hiked for days through South American ruins and mountains.
Seen Mccaws and wild monkeys and Tapirs in central America.
Diving with schools of hammer heads in the Galapagos.
Free diving with dolphins.
The type of places you need to explore to find. The places a tour bus will never get you.
