My girlfriend Amy and I love traveling, especially slow travel, meeting the locals and hearing their stories. I have five children and five grandchildren, and Amy has two daughters as well. We have been to many countries, and met many amazing people, but this has only whet our appetite for more adventures and new acquaintances! We each speak two languages, and are learning two more. We have an unending thirst for learning more words and languages.

The best part of travel is the people you meet along the way, sharing stories, laughing together, learning each other’s traditions, and seeing the world through their eyes. Couchsurfing seems like a great opportunity to do this!

I enjoy many kinds of music.
My favorite movies are spy and suspense movies.
Most of the books that I “read“ are audiobooks. Some narrators are wonderful at bringing them to life. John Grisham and Kate Quinn are a couple favorites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Drive a taxi in Costa Rica; build classrooms in El Salvador; see the World Cup in Russia; play the part of the villain in a local play.

If you are learning English or Spanish, I’d be happy to help you with that. Other than that, I will gladly pitch in for groceries, and help out around the house. Oh, and let’s share travel stories!
