I am an artist and gardener in Detroit.
In 2017 I bought a Queen Anne style workers cottage on Detroit’s near east side, close to Eastern Market and Midtown.

I manage a community garden in Midtown and am developing ing a 1/4 acre food forest across the street from my home.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As a participant who mainly hosts, I have lopsided perspective. While Couchsurfing has evolved over time it’s basic principles stay strong. My guests tend to be gracious, respectful and ready to share life’s experience. Sometimes when I used the platform I for surfing I've not been able to find a host, but had a great time with my host(s) in Pittsburgh and NYC! Also I have made long term friends with whom I have traveled and stayed with even if it was outside this application.

Sometimes when I host I’m busy with work, but I’ll make time for my guests as l am able.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I feel like the CS community attracts great people. That being said, I appreciate good clear communication about arrivals. I also appreciate a heads up if you have sent me a request that I accept, but you have found an alternate accommodation. Please use the "confirm stay" button.
