CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME
***** I need one more vouch before I can vouch for others *****
June 2014, now in London. I contacted Dengue Fever in Huangshan, China and had to cut my China plans short and flew directly to London from Shanghai. I hope to do Turkey and Xin Jiang on the way home.
Off to Asia in May 2014 then working my way across China to Xin Jiang then maybe take the Silk Road via the Stans to Turkey then onto London
July 2012, India is a mix of good and bad. Delhi was nothing to write home about but Agra and the Taj were good. Jaipur is too noisy, too many people, too filthy and too many thieves, one of which has my new Nokia Smartphone. But the Amber area 13km NE of Jaipur was really nice and so is Jaisalmer and the backpackers where I am staying with Raj, a CS member, see http://hotelsurja.com/. Off to Bikener soon then back to Delhi for my flight to the South of India for the last 10 days of my India visit.
I am now back in New Zealand after living in Hong Kong and China for the last 6 years. Currently I am renovating my home and hosting Couchsurfers until I go off travelling again.
PHILOSOPHY
Haven't really got one, except living life to the fullest, and trying to get rid of the excess weight that I have accumulated over the years. Bit of a contradiction there I know, but I am working on it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Will travel around the UK and some of Europe from June 2014 onwards
Travelling to Asia and Europe May to Dec 2014
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I started hosting when I lived in China and also travelled in China extensivly and used CS on one occasion. Since I have been back in New Zealand I have had a dozen or so Couchsurfers stay with me. I want to build up a CS history so when I backpac through South America I can use CS.
Interests
Travelling and seeing the world, electronics and computers, I am very practical and I can fix almost anything.

My favourite movie must be "The Hunt for Red October", I have seen it a dozen times and read the book. Don't know why but it grabs me.
