Overview
About Me
I’m a Kiwi into the outdoors and learning about the world. I’m travelling in Europe currently with my Swiss partner. We do seasonal conservation work in New Zealand so are fortunate to be able to travel sometimes. I’ve couch surfed in many countries and hosted many people and it’s always been a great way to interact with the travelling community.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've seen so many welcoming people in my travels and been invited into a lot of homes and I enjoy returning that. I'm proud of my country and my relationship with it and I like to help people on their travels here when I can.
The traveling community. I feel like I click with other travelers or travel minded people. People who can live thier life where they are but also have an openness and curiosity about things out of the ordinary.

Music, Movies, and Books
It's all quite varied and hard to put in a list. Theres a book called "Stranger in The Forest" I love that is a true story about a guy who walk across Borneo through the jungle in the 1980s and has a lot of encounters with native people along the way. I think most of those areas are probably Palm oil plantation now but then they were thick forests filled with isolated cultures. I admired his sense of adventure
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Arriving in Guadelupe after sailing on the Atlantic for 25 days from Canary Islands was quite amazing. To see all the detail and smells and tastes was great for the senses. We went to the beach and surfed and had beer and bbq and it felt really good. It was amazing to get so far and be connected to the journey all the way, to really experience distance, and then shrink it again 3 days later with an overnight flight back to Europe.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Meditation has been an important part of my life and in finding a deeper happiness and appreciation of life. Discussing techniques and/or sharing meditation session. I also enjoy to share cooking/eating experiences.
