About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travelling South America for 1 year with my girlfriend. Volunteering in Peru, Bolivia, Colombia and all places inbetween. Immersing ourselves in different cultures wherever we go.
ABOUT ME
We are an Australian couple travelling South America for around 1 year (began May 2011). We are both 31.
Dave is an electrician and has been working in the solar electricity industry. Jess has a degree in Agriculture and has been working in environmental policy for the government.
We are both extremely interested in sustainable resources, permaculture and people! We love the outdoors and the underwater world, music festivals but also quiet retreats. We try not to spend too much time in cities, although they can be fun at times.
We are trying to volunteer as much as we can in our travels to help out people less fortunate than ourselves, pass on knowledge and gain a little more experience ourselves along the way that we can take home.
Currently (end of July 2011) we are in Colombia, travelling north to the coast, then we will return south through Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina (Patagonia for summer) then possibly Uruguay and Paraguay. We would also like to explore the possibility of returning to Australia via yacht next year from Panama.
PHILOSOPHY
Live life and love it for the good and the bad. Karma comes round just as it goes around.
Get everything you can from life because you never know how much longer it will last.
Treat everyone as equal.

Music, Movies, and Books
Any Wilber Smith books, La Davinci Code, Science fiction adventure novels, old fan of Footrot Flats comics. Anything non-fiction.
Music taste very broad, beginning with Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Metalica and go on to Beck, Radiohead, and we have a heap of good of Australian bands we can recommend.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Working in the Great Barrier Reef and Torres Strait, cray fishing and pearl farming and almost getting eaten by tiger sharks and crocodiles.
Living in outback Australia, growing cotton and travelling teaching farmers about natural resources.
