About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To follow Alfred Hitchcock's definition of happiness - "A clear horizon. Nothing to worry about on your plate. Only things that are creative and not destructive".
ABOUT ME
Spontaneous, last minute person with an open mind who can dance for hours (badly).
I spend endless amounts of time in coffee shops (Americano - no milk or sugar) gelato parlours (2 scoops in a cup - mango and passion fruit) and pubs (pint of Guinness please).
PHILOSOPHY
Drink good beer and don't take life too seriously.
Life is too short to be mad or sad..........so be HAPPY!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I fly to Chile on 1st March 2015 to continue my travels. I plan to stay in South America until July.
No here's the thing.....
I am happy to check into hostels and meet other travellers from around the globe; however I am looking for people to show me the "real" Chile. That's where you come up in.
I am asking whether anybody out there would be willing to let me crash on their couch for a day or so and show me around the local area. I can assure you I have no criminal record, am house trained and socially presentable with looks that won't scare the dog!
In all seriousness, I would be extremely grateful to anyone who could help me out along the way.
I hear South Americans are a friendly bunch so hoping for a few hosts during my time in your country.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Stayed with four fantastic hosts whilst in Australia. Looking forward to more couchsurfing in South America and then hosting fellow backpackers when I return to London.
Interests
Away from dealing with 22 little four year old boys in my classroom, my interest vary from drinking copious amounts of red wine with friends to reading a book from start to finish in a day whilst chilling in a coffee shop. I have had minimal success with a golf club or tennis racket; however that has not stopped me from enjoying these sports!

Music, Movies, and Books
Any travel writing books by the extremely talented Paul Theroux and the hilarious Bill Bryson.
Plenty of jazz with a little Dylan or Hendrix thrown in. Currently listening to Gregory Porter. I could listen to The Smiths all day long and always have time for a little 80's mix!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sharing my bed under the stars in Monument Valley with rattlesnakes, scorpions and spiders.
