To me mission implies some kind of important assignment. I'm not sure I have anything going on that measures up. But traveling stimulates me like few other endeavors and I'd like to do it more often.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I once hung out with a couch-surfer who was staying with friends. We had a couple beers, shared some stories, and went to the swap meet. It was a normal day but with the added pleasure of sharing it with a couch-surfer.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read Wendell Berry obsessively. I listen to a lot of different types of music, but it's summer, so right now I'm listening to a lot of Hot Water Music, Fugazi, the Beach Boys, Credence, the Clash, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think I've had the delight of participating in or seeing many two-bit amazing things. So, most recent, I sailed for the first time this past weekend. A fairly insignificant miracle but I couldn't have enjoyed it more.
