ABOUT ME

I'm 33, live just about 20 minutes away from centre of Manchester, England's finest city. Exhibitions used to be my working life, and hockey still is my sport. In between I'm keen on seeing movies, checking out old buildings and cityscapes, and outdoors stuff. Laid back, almost to the horizontal.

PHILOSOPHY

Ok so I'll never know, see or experience everything, or even close, but let's at least give it a go...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Looking to host anyone interested in seeing and getting to know Manchester and its sights, sounds and spaces.

Have a couple of travel ideas in mind, but particularly want to see more of eastern Europe and Russia

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Guess I can no longer claim to be completely new any more...have hosted a few people at mine over the past few months, and met up with a few couchsurfers in Russia when I visited St Petersburg for a few days - definitely the way to find out about a city and vodka

Can never choose a single favourite - still love Pulp Fiction and Madness of King George, Massive Attack's Blue Lines, Morcheeba and James, and books by Julian Barnes and Tibor Fischer.

Went up Sydney Harbour Bridge - ok not so rare and unique but considering how rubbish I am with heights and the view from up there - it was pretty amazing.
