Overview
About Me
Heyo, I'm 23, and living in Canberra. I work part time and am finishing my anthropology/law degrees at the Australian National University. Right now, I am really interested in working in rural Australia and learning about aboriginal culture.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have hosted informally for a year and had an awesome time with 4 different groups that each lived for with me for a couple of months. I love having people to chat to and I think that a local perspective is invaluable when travelling.
Interests
I would love to work for a social development think tank or as a solicitor for Legal Aid when i finish studying. Before I get too serious though, I want to volunteer as much as possible. In 2011 I spent 6 weeks doing respite care for the intellectually disabled, in 2012 i spent 3 months working at an orphanage in Siliguri, India. I work part time as a paralegal at a personal injury firm in Canberra and I will spend 6 weeks from 13 November - 17 December 2016 working at the Aboriginal Legal Service in Kalgoorlie as a paralegal. I am driven by talking with people from all walks of life.
I am an avid runner, gym goer and budding chef.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am listening to Claptone, Nina Kraviz, Mura Masa and Vince Staples. My favourites are always changing though.
I am reading The Bone Clocks by David Mitchell, but my favourites are Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami and Just Kids by Patti Smith
I recently watched Samsara and thought it was fantastic. My favourite is probably Garden State though - gets me through and through.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

What I Can Share with Hosts
I am tidy and respectful of other peoples belongings. (I am told) I have had lots of interesting experiences and am fascinated to hear about other people's, including their recommendations for new places to go and things to do. I am able to chip in some money as well for board.
