ABOUT ME

My wife and I have a business called Mad Science that provides children with science entertainment, camps and hands-on science classes. We have been together since 1979, living in St Louis, Kansas City, Springfield MO and Kansas City again while raising 3 children.

PHILOSOPHY

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow, what a Ride!"

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My son Michael and I spent 2 weeks couch-surfing in France, seeing Paris, Blois, Marseille, Nice, Aix-en-Provence, Frejus and Normandy. We loved staying with real people we could get to know a little instead of being isolated in a hotel! They made it an incredible experience.

Stood on a 25' levee at the end of a runway while a USAF Thunderbird F-16 took off and passed less than 40 feet over our heads at about 180 knots. We got dirt in our mouths from the jetwash and screamed and high-fived each other.

I am trying to become fluent enough in French that I can speak with my hosts next time I am back there. I have learned something about education and about being in business over the last several years that I am willing to share with anyone interested. Flew as a private pilot for several years.
