ABOUT ME

I am trying to see parts of this world that are too beautiful, interesting or exciting to be shown to us without finding them ourselves.

I write about food history, traditions, and production, mostly for the organisation Slow Food. I strongly believe in (most of) their principles. I move around a lot, mostly woofing and volunteering on farms to try and learn more about sustainable food production.

PHILOSOPHY

I try not to think too hard about anything. The most precious and worthwhile things in life are spontaneous, so there is no point trying to create them with your own beliefs.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I think it is a brilliant way to link like-minded people from around the world. I think the best way to experience a new place is through people, and couchsurfing allows you to do this.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't used Couchsuring for a number of years (hence the hairline gap between profile photos), but I'm keen to get back into it again!
