About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The idea of Couchsurfing was introduced to me by some of the greatest people I've known, so it was guilty of being incredible by association from the start. Moreover, it's a natural outgrowth of what we do for our friends already: they're in town, so they crash for a night or three. Why not extend that the world over? It suits my (and countless others') philosophy of travel seamlessly- dig in deep wherever you go, and get your hands dirty. Try something a little different, and meet new faces. The world is, on the whole, a fantastic and welcoming place full of good people. Embrace it.

Interests

I could not stop reading to save my life.

Also, camping, backpacking, cooking, fresh coffee, self-discovery, handwritten letters, rock climbing, accents

Traveling off the beaten track and connecting with interesting people is a given for anyone on CS, I imagine.

"Of all the liars in the world, the worst are often our own fears."
-R. Kipling

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once, I moved from New York City to Bangkok on a week's notice. The rest is history.

Teach, Learn, Share

There is never a day when I'm not in the mood for stimulating conversation. If you can bring that to the table, we'll get along swimmingly. Come forth and blow my mind! Bonuses for wild travel stories, interesting language tips, cooking advice, and book recommendations.

If you would be at all interested, it would be my pleasure to share advice on interesting places in and around Tokyo to visit. The same goes for Bangkok and New York City.

What I Can Share with Hosts

During my stay, I can be as much or as little of a presence as you would like. Staying up all night talking about life over a drink or retreating into whatever book I'm reading are equally appealing prospects.

The overwhelming generosity involved in this exchange deserves reciprocation from appreciative guests. Completely house-broken, I consider myself conscientious, respectful, and cleanly. I will do my best to be as unobtrusive as humanly possible.

An added bonus: I would relish the opportunity to cook for and/or with you, and will lend a hand with the dishes.
