About Me

CURRENT MISSION

If life is becoming too routine, shake things up... fast!

ABOUT ME

I am a graduate of Biology in the United States that has decided to take a year off between undergraduate and medical school to experience the world. Currently I am living in Chicago, but am looking for jobs around the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Being "polite" is less appreciated than being "blunt", even if the message is not what the listener wants to hear.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to this Couch Surfing experience. Right now I just want to learn about many cultures while showing people my culture.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had nothing but great experiences with couchsurfing. I have met people for coffee and surfed on couches. I have never hosted but plan on starting once I return to Chicago.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Devil in the White City, all of the Dan Brown books, with books I also like lighter humorous books like I Hope they Serve Beer in Hell.

As far as music goes I love almost all types! Rob Thomas is my favorite and I really enjoy music in other languages.

I really enjoy cinema, but in a different way that most do. When I go to movies I look at camera angles, lighting etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am doing it right now. Taking a year off between my undergraduate degree and medical school to experience different cultures. Among those things; took a gondola ride in Venice, participated in a giant pillow fight (over 100 people) in Traflagar Square London, had pizza in Naples, drank wine in Tuscany, ate pasta in Rome, went to a toga party in Greece, did a 100 mile bike race around Lake Tahoe Nevada, went to the Beatification of Pope John Paul II, Kayaked in the Mediterranian, piloted an airplane, had a conversation with a group of people with four differnt languages being passed around, and I am sure more will come :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always wanting to learn new authentic recipes. I think one can learn a lot of a culture through the food that they eat.

Also I am very eclectic with my opinions and love hearing viewpoints of different individuals.
