CURRENT MISSION
To meet new people, experience new things, to boldly go where no man has gone before!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
A little surfing here, and little hosting there... Sometimes I get together with the London couchsurfering community for food and drink and merriment.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I heard about it through my brother and his wife, and I helped them show couchsurfers around Kingston, Ontario a few times. In the summer of 2011 I couchsurfed around the maritimes, and had a fantastic experience. I'm pretty new to hosting, but I anticipate great fun.
Interests
Music, especially classical and jazz, with a dash of bluegrass - really anything with a melody. I love playing the 'cello and I dabble in trumpet as well. I have an amateur interest in other arts too. I could talk about mathematics or economics for a long time; I studied them for my undergraduate degree. Medicine and everything health-care related too. I love a good discussion of politics or philosophy, although I have no formal education in either field. As for sports, I enjoy sailing, geocaching, and very, very amateur level Ultimate.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent a couple summers as crew on a tall ship while I was in high school - one of the most amazing travel experiences I've ever had, even if we never left Ontario.
Teach, Learn, Share
I figure I'm adept enough to give out pointers in music, mathematics, economics, and sailing. I'd love to learn more about the arts, politics, and history.
