About Me

CURRENT MISSION

my current life's mission is to create a community-oriented, sustainable world by speaking my truth, showing up authentically, and loving the earth.

ABOUT ME

i do my best to fulfill my wildest life dreams and goals. right now im knee deep in fulfilling my dream of paragliding. just got my novice license, and am making the transition down to santa barbara to continue to train with my paragliding coaches. hoping to couch surf for a while before taking my wing down to south america.

PHILOSOPHY

life is an empty canvas. i try to paint mine masterfully. fun and growing myself are what im all about!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i've heard great things from friends that are involved on both ends of the project. thought it was time to reach out and see who's there. right now im traveling, but certainly plan to offer my couch when i settle down again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

one thing i love about my life is all the amazing times ive spent sleeping on someones floor. one of my favorites was hitchhiking through the desert in mexico. ridiculous heat. running low on water and food. starting to consider making a camp for the night... losing hope. i finally reaffirmed to myself that i'm perfectly well taken care of, and that i needn't worry. right then a dusty station wagon pulls over. filled to the top with luggage, three adults and four kids. they were headed to mexico city, my current destination. after getting in the driver gave me a cold can of peaches. i spent two weeks with them in hidalgo with there father, a survivor of the revolution, and their mother in mexico city. one of the most amazing experiences of my life!
i love sharing my home with people, and receiving the gifts of hospitality.

Interests

paragliding, cooking, new kinds of cuisine, cycling, unicycling, sharing stories, making new friends, skydiving, whitewater kayaking (don't paddle much anymore), rock climbing, middle eastern percussion

Music, Movies, and Books

rain of gold- amazing story of the authors parents. partially set in the copper canyons near where i was living

im a raging fan of latin pop/rock. actually, if it's in spanish i probably love it. also anything with a gypsy/mideastern sound i really dig. i also enjoy some dirty bluegrass here and there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

life is amazing- how could i pick just one?

watched a baby humback whale roll in the surf with it's mama just mere meters from me. amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

i'd love to cook a meal, help to create a garden, give a spanish lesson, or perhaps share some active listening/life coaching skills that have helped me greatly in my life.

i love random tidbits of info, and also what makes each person unique and awesome!
