About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My aims in life are to travel, meet and learn from people of different cultures, have fun always, be happy, learn Portuguese, improve myself as a person and on top of all find out who the hell I am....
ABOUT ME
The first thing I have to say is that I cannot answer the question: where are you from? I was born in South Africa (Benoni), my mother is Spanish and my father is half Welsh half English...I have lived in Spain (Madrid and Valencia) since I was 10, I´ve also lived in Scotland (Edinburgh) for 2 years and was traveling South America for 8 months...Just recently I´ve started living in Bolivia, La Paz...so where am I from?? from this planet I suppose.. I just love meeting people from all over the place; living, understanding and learning from other cultures... I want to be useful for the world, and my way of helping is through education (I am a teacher)...I want to offer my experience in life for those who cant have a decent education, my ultimate aim is to help!!
I am an outgoing person, always up for a good chat about everything (stupid things, philosophical ideas, ways to save the world, spiritualism...anything mate!!!), can also enjoy going out for a drink and I am really really eager to learn Portuguese because I want to go to Mozambique to work in an alternative school... Im non judgmental at all, I enjoy all sorts of people...its not about the taste, its about the heart...love good people!!!
PHILOSOPHY
Learn, Laugh, Help, Travel and never ever do what other people want you to do!!! be yourself, be a good person and forget the rest...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment I can help out by offering a couch in La Paz, Bolivia if its available. Also if im not busy we could go for a walk around the city, have a coffee or a meal, or I could help out anyone who´s struggling with their Spanish and needs me to help them out (for travel information or anything like that...)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was using couchsurfing for a while about two years ago, but once I settled in Edinburgh I lost contact and even forgot my username...thats why Ive had to start a new one (sometimes im a bit of a nuthead...) After traveling around South America loads of people who were connected to CS helped me out for accommodation, but I didnt get to start my own account...so now I have decided to open this one to meet people for when I move to La Paz, and to continue meeting people around the world!!!
Interests
Football lover!! (Vamos Real Madrid!!!), cinema addict (21 grams, Fight club, Rashomon, etc.. classic and modern), always got a book in my hand (got really into Brian Weiss after reading Many lives, Many masters...now Im into a learning Portuguese course...) I really want to get close to the Portuguese speaking culture, so if anybody can suggest books, films, music (anything related to these cultures...specially Brazil, Portugal or Mozambique) I love to learn about new positive focuses on life, how we can make this a better world and all that...enjoy Philosophical rants and to laugh for no reason...

Music, Movies, and Books
already included this in interests...well I didnt talk about music: very interested in learning new rhythms from different musical backgrounds...love Spanish rock (Platero y tu, Extremoduro, fito, Marea..), hip hop with a good message (Nach), Manu chao, Bob Marley (Reggae, Ska and other african-jamiacan rhythms)...and many more...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went searching for a Anaconda in the Bolivian pampas (of course just to see it, not to hurt it...and we found one) and have experienced in person a chamanic ceremony...
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Spanish, English or useless but interesting philosophy
Learn: Portuguese!!! and one day would like to learn a musical instrument (specially drums or Bongos)
Share: culture, life experience, laughs and when the time is right a good night out
