About Me
Hello there!
I'm David, 23 years old from Spain. I'm currently going into a life changing(I hope) series of travels.
I started 2 years ago with a 2 months long hike/hitchhike from my home on the east of Spain to Pisa in Italy.
My idea is to get to see most of europe and then move to america while getting to see/do as many things as possible so I can learn and grow and overall experience life.
Next stop on the bucket list is Iceland since I've always wanted to see the northern lights at least once in a lifetime and I'm also quite interested in the peculiar and unique icelandic landscape.
I want to meet new people from as many places as possible, get to know the life style, gastronomy, history and, if possible, even language of this old continent before I make my jump to America. (That will be the great long adventure, I plan to travel across the whole continent for a couple years.)
I have the feeling that this world is too big and filled with awesome people waiting to be discovered to just stay home doing everything I'm expected to do by society.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think it's an amazing way to travel, you get to know new cultures and people from the inside, share experiences and make new friends . There's no better way to knowing a culture than living with them and sharing time with the locals.
From my experience with it so far it can truly be lifechanging, I've met such incredible people thanks to this.
Also, I believe in those chains of kind actions that somehow, in the end, return to yourself. As we say in Spain: "hoy por tí, mañana por mí"(today for you, tomorrow for me)
Interests
I enjoy learning about the world we live in, meeting new people, being presented with new ways of living and thinking. I do love history and languages too.
I've recently discovered that i love hiking and traveling on a more adventurous way.
Apart from that, i'm interested in computer science, aeroespace stuff(i'm a huge WWII planes nerd) and alternate living styles. Just anything that makes you think out of the box.

Regarding books i enjoy adventure or fantasy ones.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've done the "Camino de Santiago" (Jakobsweg, St. Jacob's path) from Irún(at the spanish border with France) to Santiago de compostela.
I hiked/hitchhiked from Valencia on the Spanish mediterranean coast to Pisa in Italy.
Teach, Learn, Share
For me, the "Camino" was a life changing experience, it moved me on so many ways. I hope to be moved that much again by this travel and also share what i've learnt.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm up to any good conversation, i can't play music nor sing but I'll do my best to help out with cooking and won't be a mess at your home.
Anything that could be considered a cultural exchange i'm up for it.
