About Me

Business and sales consultant working and living in Asia. I love traveling, music, food and the experience to learn, connect and collaborate with other curious souls during my nomadic experiences.

I am a good listener but sometimes I talk a lot if people allow me to. Ask me anything and you will get, most definitely, an answer, and if I don't know I'll Google it for sure.

I love people with self-awareness and a sense of humor. But if you are a dry or sour person, don't worry, I will make you laugh.

Human connection is becoming a luxury in this hyper-techy-sort-of world and communities like that are really an oasis-in-the-desert kind of thing.

By the way, if you don't speak English, Spanish, or others I am great at body language and we have translating apps nowadays, so that won't be a problem at all. That kinda reminds me of the movie Lost in Translation LOL.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To connect with the world while exploring it, to share wonderful stories of far far lands where I've been. To get inspired and inspire others to step out of their doors and see the sunshine somewhere else.

Music, Movies, and Books

Well there is not such a thing as favorite music. There is music for different moments. There are chords in scales and progressions that produce emotions and inspire musicians to make songs that inspired genres. Then you have modes that are variations of scales. For instance the Dorian Mode, sounds cheeky, kinda sad but with a hopeful manner very useful in jazz, blues, rock and funk. And then, there is the Mixolidian Mode which has this bittersweet sound, kinda serious, kinda sweet, very present in some of the songs by Bob Dylan, The Beatles, and Nirvana.

No, I am not a musician.

Movies...hmmm I like Tarantino and Scorsese movies. Oh and Darren Aranofsky and Christopher Nolan are also great directors. Let's start talking about directors instead of movies.
Sometimes a bad movie has a reason to be bad, Black Adam for instance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing thing? well it all depends on the definition you have of amazing...But I suppose I can say that for 10 days I embarked myself in a personal journey of trying to control my inner mind and sort of achieved it at the end (and temporarily), when I did the 10-day Vipassana meditation retreat in Hong Kong.

I think all of us have done many amzing things throught our life-time...we just need to be a bit more humble.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a simple yet very powerful method of meditation. I can teach you a couple of magic tricks. I can teach you some food recipes, and I can teach you how to sell a product or service among tons of other things...like learning how to use chatGPT or how to lower your blood sugar level and set your body on fat-burning mode in a healthy way.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have had several guests in my home in China. Either my roommates or my girlfriend at that time had a Couchsurfing account and we received some very cool people.

I cooked for them and showed them around the city where I was (Xiamen, Fujian Province).

I am welcoming but let people do their thing and try to be very respectful of their plans and stuff as I am very independent myself.
