Overview
About Me
I'm a Colombian PhD student in philosophy, struggling to finish my never ending thesis.
I'm always willing to learn about new cultures and ways of life. Most of the time I am reading and writing, but at this point in my life, I think I need to lift my head up of the books and look for real life experiences.
At first, I'm a little bit shy and I'm not much of a talker, but I think I'm great at listening to people and, as I said before, I am always looking forward to learn new things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I want to know people, and I think this could be a good way.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love "classical" academic music and opera. I also enjoy world music, I love to know cultures through their typical songs. For some reason unbeknownst to me, I have a strong leaning towards Slavic and Mediterranean music.
Movie directors I like: Scorsesse, Kubrick, Tarkovski, von Trier, Bresson, Malick, Kieslowski, Kurosawa...
Books: Lots...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I crossed part of the Amazon (from Leticia-Colombia, to Manaus-Brazil), it took me 3 days to go and 7 days to come back. Two years after that I came back to the upper part of the Amazon jungle in a forgotten Colombian town called Mitú.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can tell you things about my country, and, after more than 10 years studying it, I think I know something about philosophy.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to listen what they have to say. I can tell them about my own experiences.
