My name is David Bawi. I was born in Myanmar. I have lived three different countries throughout my life: Myanmar, Malaysia, and the United States. I love learning new culture and meeting new friends. Besides from the 3 countries I’ve lived in, I’ve been to Canada and Ghana.
I am studying Law and Public Policy and International Studies at Indiana University. I plan on going to law school with a concentration in human rights and international law.
As a student, it is hard for me to travel as much as I would like, and I hope with the help of the CouchSurfing community, I can overcome that barrier.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is hard as a student to have the financial means to travel. I believe the Couch-surfing program is a great opportunity for individual like me, an individual who loves to explore different part of the world while meeting friends and building connections.
