About Me

Hey! I am David, 20 years old, born in Germany. Some people think I'm a genius, some people think I'm stupid. I like learning new things and I'm better with strangers than I am with acquaintances or friends (few exceptions). I'm usually not a very serious person, but I like having deep conversation just as much. I like partying, but the music is always in the foreground for me, then comes the drinking. I still drink too much though, but I digress.

I can't host ATM as I am travelling around until the end of the year, but when all goes well I will have chance to host when I am back.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking for interesting conversations, getting and sharing recipes (I know some Japanese ones), getting tips on places to visit (especially the secret ones), learn about other cultures and if you drink get smashed together.

Music, Movies, and Books

Mac Demarco is #1
I also like Jazz, Hip Hop, 70s hard rock, 80s metal and psychedlica extravaganza (dirty hippy sh*t) of every decade. I want to visit a country music festival at least once in my life.
I like art house movies (france > hollywood)
"Even Cowgirls Get the Blues" is my Bible

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Doing farm work in rural Japan 🇯🇵

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to learn and talk about culture (yours, mine and others), I know a lot about Japan and Japanese religion now, I can teach you to make music on PC (I'm a pro, I really am), I am useless at nearly every practical thing but I like to get lost in the clouds, better together than alone.

I want to find new interesting soft drinks

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am collecting recipes on my traveling, music-, book-, film recommendations, piano lessons (i know two small songs)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, England, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, United States
