Hey there! I'm David Benjamin. I'm a singer songwriter and filmmaker. 27 years old and I live in The Hague Netherlands. In 2012 I graduated the Amsterdam Filmacademy as a Cinematograper. After graduating I started working as a Director and Director of Photography on several films, tv-series and musicvideo's. All went well, but something just didn't feel right. In my heart I had always wanted to travel the world and make music.
I realised I was guilty of choosing a 'safe job' over my 'uncertain' true passion. A wake up call. That day I promised myself to be true to my passion and I put the focus right back where It belongs: Music. I write my own songs and perform under my own name 'David Benjamin'. Besides that I also write songs for other artists. I do what I love, and for that I'm grateful!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I believe it's a wonderful way to meet inspiring people. Couchsurfing enables people with different backgrounds and different cultures to connect with eachother and forming friendships that will last lifetimes. Why isn't everybody on couchsurfing? ;)

Intereses

More about my interests.. Ok. Well when I was little I was always holding a pencil. I would draw things wherever I went. I don't do it that often now since music has taken over, but I still love to draw. My mother was a Painter and my dad a Photographer and graphic designer. Art runs in the family. ;) I loved to perform since I was little. I was always acting, doing theater, playbacking Michael Jackson, anything that Involved being on a stage.

I could give some singing or guitarlessons. I could shoot some awesome professional photographs or video's. I could give some advice or I think by now I could give a proper workshop on songwriting. I could draw you (like a cartoon haha).
