Overview
About Me
I'm a comedian who was born on a small farm in the midwest. Most of my life I've lived near my family's home in Indiana. My daughter recently started college and I moved with my partner to upstate New York.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I spend a lot of time traveling for comedy and, although being on stage is the best, it's probably something like 2% of the total time I spend when I'm in a new town. I've found meeting new people and exploring my surroundings to be an incredible side benefit of my job. Couchsurfing seems like a great way to do that! Also, to be honest, hotels are expensive and it doesn't always make sense to spend that much money on accommodations.

Music, Movies, and Books
They Might Be Giants is my favorite band of all time, but I also really love The Decembrist and The Thermals. I listen to a lot of old school punk (Misfits, Angry Samoans, Bad Brains), but really they are artist in every genre I enjoy. I also spend a lot of time listening to podcast while I drive.
Movie-wise I like The Coen Brothers and Wes Anderson although, being a comic book nerd from way back, I'm usually excited to go to any new comic book movie. I love The Marx Brothers and own all of their films and I think The Jerk is one of the greatest movies of all time.
Favorite authors include Jonathan Irving, John Steinbeck and Neil Gaiman.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I opened for Janeane Garofalo at this beautiful 600 seat theater. She was super nice!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Usually if I'm coming through town it's because I'm doing a show. 90% of the time I can get you free tickets if you're into standup. I'm also happy to help out around the house, doing dishes, cleaning, yard work, and stuff like that.
