About Me

I was born in a little place called highfields in south east Queensland, Australia.
My brother and I spent alot of our childhood outside imagining different stories involving castles and magic and pirates and acting out random scenes from different stories we made up in our heads.
Highschool years were spent traveling between Queensland, Northern Territory (its pretty much a desert) and South Australia. I really think that these years cemented my passion for travel as i developed my personality with the experiences shared by others to grow as a person.

Now Im a very succesful bartender in my hometown, working predominantly at The foremost venue in town whilst consulting on most others that attempt to start up in the area. My group of friends and i frequent local parks and reserves to spend the day meditating, doing yoga, or simply eating cheese drinking wine and discussing philosophies or what ever comes up.

I solemnly believe that humans exist on the planet to benefit from the accumulative knowledge we as a species gather. and also that to bring peace we must first find it then act out of it to show others the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first introduction to couch surfing was in South Australia as a 17 year old. I answered the door to unsuspectingly greet two tall tanned Estonians' who would go on to stay with us for a week.
During this time, despite the language barrier it was apparent to me the cultural differences that were existed not just between the different states in Australia, but on a global scale.
Im on Couchsurfing so i can expand my horizons, learn from all walks of life and then pass my new found understanding and peace onto others in my life so they may do the same :-)

Interests

I'll show interest in just about anything haha. Im more about people though, the interaction is what fascinates.
The love of people pushed me to bar-tend where i get to interact with people from all walks of life.
I have a thing for architecture and modern art and will happily spend all day wandering streets and getting lost to just look around and find the hidden gems of a city. 100% sport isn't very high on my priority list

Music, Movies, and Books

I am open to all types of music whilst my personal preference is more atune to The Black Keys, Kings of Leon, Alabama shakes, White stripes etc.
I own over 300 books and love a good TED talk or Vlogbrothers episode (youtube)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done isn't exactly easy as i've had the good fortune of enjoying so many.
But very high on that list is that i went spelunking at the age of 16, crawling over a kilometer underground in dark caves where you sometimes have to squeeze side on, or on your belly through meters and meters of tunnels to eventually reach a beautiful underground cavern full of shimmering rocks.
If you ever get the chance, check out Kangaroo island of the coast of South Australia.

Teach, Learn, Share

Alot of my knowledge since leaving school is bar orientated,
Things like different spirits, beer varieties and the history behind them. various ways to combine flavors and ingredients in a tasteful balanced and beautiful cocktail.
I also have some proficiency in Yoga.
Im very confident and make friends easily not just for myself but for a group of people, making it easier for anyone to interact with anyone.

I'd be very keen to learn guitar and either French or German and maybe some (better) cooking skills (can and will burn cereal)
