About Me
Hi. I'm a fun professional guy from Washington, DC and I am a total travel aficionado. there's always a new place I want to go explore. I'm honest, respectful, clean and tidy. I run two Air Bnb's and host many guests so I know what it takes to be a good guest. I speak Spanish pretty well, since I work at a Latin American company, and I know basic Portuguese (I have had many Brazilian guests at my house and even one who spoke no English but for a month we got by no problem haha). I'm very open to other cultures and have traveled to over 20 countries and am always hot to do more. I grew up in the Maryland burbs of DC and I currently own a home in Baltimore and commute to DC. I also have spent much time in South Florida since my grandparents lived in Boca Raton (Highland Beach) and the area is second nature to me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have many rooms at my place in Baltimore and even some at a house I have in the mountains, and I feel like there are people who could use a place to stay on their travels. I especially like to give the opportunity to young people who might need a break on their traveling expenses in order to be able to see the country. I have done this many times before just not on this site. I have a side gig to make a little extra cash, I return Ikea dressers which are on recall. It can only be done 6 times per person so I need to get some help from my couchsurfer to help me do it.
I realize I am a newbie with only one review so it's taking a bit of a chance, but I'm perfectly happy to talk via phone beforehand, and to let you see my reviews on ABB, which will show both host and me as guest, so you can get a full picture of who I am and how I behave as a guest. Looking forward to hearing from you!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to school at night and it took me 14 years, ugh, forever. I like to joke that I was in undergrad longer than my entire public school K-12 lol. But it felt great and I felt a huge sense of accomplishment. That, and quitting smoking in 2007 after smoking for 12 years. That also felt great, literally. (I'm not a picky nonsmoker though, outdoor smoke doesn't bother me).
Teach, Learn, Share
I speak enough Spanish that I can teach a complete beginner. I have been to a lot of places so I may be able to share knowledge about a city or country that may be useful. I also know a bit about interior design, and can do some basic cooking. I also can give advice about hosting Air Bnb and being a landlord since I've done it for so long.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my knowledge of travel and music and design, as well as I know about computers and the IT industry. I like to share a glass of wine and just have a fun conversation and see where it leads.
