ABOUT ME

I would describe myself as a typical hedonistic traveller. I want to see cool things, meet friendly people and participate in exciting activities. Currently in Australia on a 1-year working holiday visa where I plan to save enough money to fund a trip around Asia and South America in 2014, although I'm aware of how hard this will be with my sense of adventure that always bubbles its way to the surface! Having travelled Europe for 3 months in a van, completed a ski season in the French Alps and a full season in Ibiza, I now want to set my sights further afield and see the rest of the world. On past adventures I have felt slightly embarrassed about only speaking English, so it is my mission for 2013 to learn Spanish in my spare time. I also like learning new sports, so would like to take up either surfing or kite surfing in 2013. On a completely random and unrelated note, I love hearing about what people think of me after a short time getting to know me, especially as I don't feel I fit the stereotype for the things I am interested in.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to find that special place to call home and raise a family of my own one day, as England doesn't appeal to me as a long term home. I like to visit places for months at a time whenever possible, to really give myself an idea of what it would be like to live there. Other than that I just like to meet new and interesting people who inspire me to try new things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hippy beach party in Benirras (Ibiza) where the drummers play long into the night under the stars with travellers and tourists sleeping on the sand sampling home made food and watching fire dancers until the sun rises.
Jumping out of a plane during my ski season in Courchevel 1850 (French Alps), taking in the breathtaking views of the mountains and Mont Blanc.
Live music on a campsite in Lagos (Portugal) where I first fell in love with meeting new people and watching them showcase their many talents.
