Overview
About Me
I was born in Xi'an, China but have little memories of my early childhood in various city there before my family moved across the globe to Montreal, Canada when I was 4. I spent all my boyhood there, spoke French from pre-school to the end of elementary school. Many of my fondest childhood memories are from that island on the mighty Saint Lawrence, the spout of the great lakes separating the United States from Canada. At the end of Elementary school, my dad got laid off his Aerospace Engineering job, a casualty of the recession, and found a job in Tulsa, Oklahoma where I spent a few years before moving to the Houston, TX area where I graduated High School. I went to the University of Texas at Austin for a few years for Petroleum Engineering before trying to start a rapid prototyping company in Austin, TX. I eventually found a passion in photography, especially landscape and street photography. I hope to learn web and app development and work remotely from my laptop, traveling as a digital nomad and taking great photographs in the process.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couch surfing because I believe that generosity is passed on. When we feel the hospitality of hosts, we want to give out that generosity later. I hope to settle in Seattle, Washington eventually. Hopefully owning my own web development business and welcoming the occasional backpacker or mountaineer to the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once in High School I saved a girl's life who was having a heatstroke in the middle of the Texas arid grasslands at cadet boot camp during an orienteering exercise. She collapsed under the sun and started to choke on her tongue. I fished it out of her pharynx and moved her to the shade of the space trees while others in my flight ran to get help. She recovered fine after a day at the hospital then went home (without ever returning to the flight to say goodbye)
