I’m a naturally curious person who loves connecting with people and learning about their cultures. My path wasn't a straight line. A serious workplace accident at 16 forced me to learn to walk again and pivoted my life away from culinary school. While I didn't become a chef, that resilience led me to a rewarding 15+ year career in financial services and a role as a dedicated workplace safety advocate.

​I’m still a home cook at heart, an animal lover, and an active community volunteer. I approach life as a grounded realist: I take things as they are and make the best of them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have always enjoyed meeting new people. While I was in University, I always had to ask the international students in my project groups, "how did you come to learn of PEI?" So this is likely a question I will ask you.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Generally listen to whatever is playing on the radio, but my playlist also includes a variety of music throughout the years, especially 90s.

Movies: I love comedy and thriller movies equally, it just depends on my mood, but I will sit down and watch nearly anything.

TV: I have watched Breaking Bad and Dexter series both twice and currently working on watching the GoodWife again. I have also enjoyed Shameless, Grey's Anatomy, Grace and Frankie, The Big Bang Theory, among many others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2003, I broke my back and had to learn to walk again. Although it was a tough situation to overcome, it truly changed my perspective on life; I enjoy each and every day.
