Overview
About Me
I'm fairly quiet, but do love to get out to live music in the small venues around Bristol. Hiking in the countryside, especially hills and mountains is lovely, and as well as getting about town by bicycle, I'll cycle into the countryside when there's no time for a long hike, and head out on a longer cycle-tour as my main holiday most years.
I won't have much time to spare in the week as I work full time. Due to my work, you may need to be out by about by 8am and I may not return until 8pm...but work varies and it's not like that every day.
Vegetarian, non-smoker.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's a nice idea when it works! It did a couple of times for me during my 3 months cycle-touring in Scandinavia back in 2015. I've also enjoyed hosting some nice, friendly guests.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like a lot of folk, indie, melodic rock type music. Brother and Bones, She Makes War, Curtis Eller you may not have heard of. Oasis, Pulp and similar music will always sound good to me. Ludovico Einaudi does some lovely piano music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been up Mount Kilimanjaro, but I reckon climbing Snowdon twice in one day was more impressive/sillier!
I also spent 3 months touring Sweden and Norway with my bicycle.
Teach, Learn, Share
Would you like to learn to fold an origami crane? I'm afraid that's the only one I can do though...
What I Can Share with Hosts
Doing the washing up, sharing travel stories, music from my MP3 player?
