My name is David Dorr, i am 20 years old and at the moment i live in amsterdam. For the most part of my life i have lived in the north of the netherlands in a small town near Groningen. After high school i moved to Amsterdam to study art history. At the moment i work in a little restaurant as a waiter. My plan is to travel around europe on my own to meet new interesting people and see cool stuff.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am taking a gap year to see all the cool museums of europe. After my first year of studying i noticed that i was a bit to young to disappear into studybooks and libraries so that is why i am taking this gap year. WIth couchsurfing i hope to meet a lot of cool people who can show me the hidden gems of their city.

My favorite books change with the time but at the moment i think all the work by kurt vonnegut and anna karenina/war and peace by tolstoj. Favorite band is the Red Hot Chilli Peppers but i am always open to new suggestions.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well i don't have any particular skills that come in handy for this part. I know a couple of recipes wich are very tasty and easy to make. I could share some fun facts about art history, i am always in for a game of chess and always in for a good conversation with or without a drink.
