Yo, I'm David. Ummm... what am I supposed to say here? I guess this is where I prove I'm not crazy, depraved or socially challenged right? Well look, I think I'm pretty normal... although you should be warned I hardly ever shut up (my kids and girlfriend can attest to the fact that I can out-talk anybody). I really dig the idea of the Couchsurfer Community and am looking to give it a go on my next trip to South America with my girlfriend who is there at the moment. So thought I should pay it forward now and start hosting! I'm originally from Melbourne, but have fallen in love with Sydney second time around. Working in TV land, but still trying to chase the dream of writing/music journalism too. Come say hi!

I love the idea of actually being able to experience a country through the eyes of those who live there. If you just stay in hotels, hostels and Air BnB's you're essentially stuck in a bubble with other travellers. I want to live and breathe a place I visit, get lost in it. On the flipside, I'd love to help people actually discover what makes Sydney so dope too!
