About Me
Hi,
I am David, a 27 year old Australian who decided to pack it all up and explore the world. I was working as a Project Engineer in Australia on projects involving the rail, malt plants, and paper manufacturing.
I am currently attempting to learn German although the process is a long one. I have been travelling since February and am amazed at how much the world has to offer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have read up on Couchsurfing and it seems like a very solid platform and has great appeal. I am hopeful to meet great people with the opportunity to share stories and experiences, educate eachother on different aspects of our cultures and to also see the places that the people reside.
It also has a great financial benefit which shows the value within the actual experience itself.
Interests
I enjoy,
Motor vehicles and motorsport, riding the country on a motorbike, exercise, mountain biking, reading, cooking, definitely eating the cooked foods, and also keeping up on world news.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite genre at present would have to be Australian Hip-Hop.
For movies, anything with a deep storyline, a few favourites would be Finding Forrester, Apocalypto, and am also a fan of the Marvel franchise.
I have not read that many books thus far however did enjoy reading The White Masaii and The Martian. The next book on the list which I have been recommended whilst in Italy was Gommora, which I am yet to find in English
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I've been able to do is ride a motorbike through the twisty mountains solo in Victoria. One road in particular called Jamieson-Eildon Road really stood out to me. This was amazing for me as it was quite a difficult road and travelling solo for a few days on the motorbike really challenged me and made me understand some luxuries that we take for granted.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach Aussie slang :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would share my experiences of travels and my insight into what I believe the world is and how it is developing as a whole. I would also enjoy cooking for the host to the best of my ability whilst sharing a glass of wine.
