About Me
Hello, I'm David, 35 years old.
I'm a nurse by profession and have been using Couchsurfing for almost 10 years now to meet people from all cultures around the world, and I still haven't lost my enthusiasm for it.
I would describe myself as liberal, cosmopolitan, enthusiastic, intellectually curious, interested in languages and culture, empathetic, determined, critical, ambitious and open-hearted.
My philosophy of life is reflected above all in existentialism and Sanuk 🙏

Music, Movies, and Books
I am generally interested in all good and interesting films, most of which are not mainstream. I also work in Cologne for a cultural cinema. 🎬
I also listen to all kinds of music. I like Thai rock, Brazilian bossa nova, Argentine folklore, melancholic, blues-like mornas and more lively coladeiras, traditional genres from Cape Verde, as well as American music from the 60s and 70s. 1968 and 1969 are my favourite years in music, but I also like soul, jazz and reggae – really everything.
I also played the guitar for a long time, but I'm currently out of practice.🎸
I am primarily interested in literature that is realistic, sometimes perhaps a little hypnotic, captivating, but not too far-fetched, and that truly reflects the seriousness of the situation. I like writers such as Albert Camus, Khalil Gibran, Mario Vargas Llosa, but also Werner Herzog when he talks about his experiences filming Fitzcarraldo in Iquitos.
In addition, world artists such as Lao Tse inspire me.
