I am a student from the UK currently living and studying in Birmingham. I love to see new places and visit new cities as well as exploring more natural places, mostly around the UK and Europe in between my hectic study schedule.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I'm in a new place, whilst its nice to see the major sites, I want to get to know a place. I want to see why the local love their city and why other travelers fell in love with it. I love speaking with people about their cultures and interests. One of the things I find most interesting is languages so love trying to talk with people using whatever languages we have in common, even if its broken, can be great fun and really entertaining. In the exact same way, I'd love to show people around my city and learn their stories from the road too.

Interests

As a medical student I am very into science and find that really fascinating, I also love travel and language so hearing stories about adventures and learning bits of others native language is really cool. I am quite outdoorsy so love getting out and about for walks. I also enjoy just relaxing in a pub with a drink chatting or watching sport. I am a football fan and also enjoy the rugby and the cricket. I support Arsenal as well as the English national teams and my home county Hampshire in the cricket.

Music, Movies, and Books

Fairly easy going with all music and film. Prefer rock and country music but just as happy with pop stuff. Huge fan of Star Wars but like most films to be honest, action, suspence, comedy, even the occasional chic-flick! Massive TV fan too!

I can teach anyone who stays with me or who I stay with about Britain and the culture of the UK. I can teach about English, the Queen, good beer and cricket for example!
Equally, I would like to learn about your language, your culture and history and your food and sport.
I can share stories from my travels and my city breaks as well as from my work in medicine and discuss all kinds of TV and film.
