About Me

I work for an educational company that trains people how to trade futures, forex, binary options and spreads. I pretty much run the help desk and do various other tasks, (I'm sure we're all familiar with wearing multiple hats at our jobs.) I will need an active wifi connection to stay connected to my job for 8-ish hours during the day/week, (EST, USA Time). For the most part, it's really lax and I can afford long conversation while I'm working.

I'm very familiar with American culture and want to experience what else is out there. I'm hoping to learn as much as I can about all the different communities I visit. I will be taking notes, video, and blogging on Youtube and other social media sites. If you wouldn't mind being put in my videos, that would be awesome! It's mainly for my friends and family back home to know I'm safe and vicariously enjoy my travels. Here's my channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvNSSh4qARuSOSf0mEAF3mA

Not really sure what else to put in these "About Me" sections, so I'll just list off the adjectives that come to mind.

* Honest
* Easy Going
* Organized
* Smartass
* Fun
* Tidy
* Loving
* Adventureus

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's been my dream for many years to travel the world and see what else is out there, so I've decided to take the plunge when my lease is up. I know there's more to live than hamburgers, hot dogs and baseball. I want to experience it now, before I'm too old to.

I will need to work while I'm traveling, so I NEED to have an internet connection.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy most music, but prefer alternative rock. Not a huge fan of Jazz or Rap though. Some of my favorite bands include Breaking Benjamin, 3 days grace, and Shinedown.

I don't like to read books, because when I start one, I won't put it down, and I've usually got other more important things to do, like experiencing life. Some books I've read include The Celestine Prophecy, The Hunger Games, Odd Thomas, Dan Brown Novels, and I'm a Huge fan of Neil Gaiman. Ocean at the end of the lane was fantastic! I have listened to a lot of audio books as well while I'm driving.

When it comes to movies, I enjoy action and explosions. Anything involving superheros is a huge plus. I'm a huge sucker for Animated children movies as well. I guess I'm still really a kid at heart. I'll watch Finding Nemo or Ratatouille again over The Purge any day! Speaking of which, I'm not a fan of horror films; not because they scare me, but usually because their either a gore fest, (Hostel) or because the acting is atrocious, (The Gallows).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I, (hopefully) conquered my fear of leaving America. There's no telling what will happen. Maybe I'll break some foreign law that I didn't know existed. I don't want to get tossed in a jail abroad for taking a photo when I shouldn't or wearing shorts when it's pants day. Who knows, but this is my biggest fear.
