About Me

I've been making my living as a musician (mainly busking) for about the last four years, among various other jobs including teaching, tour guiding and acting. I'm now on a worldwide busking tour and have been since March 2015. Loving it so far and hoping that it carries on for a very long time!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a great way to meet new people and find out what's at the heart of a new city.

Much better for making lasting friendships than hostels, I think! As I'm currently travelling and don't have a permanent base I'm unable to host, but would love to once I settle in a city.

Interests

My main passions are music and theatre. I'm doing my best to see the world while continuing with both of these! Would be great to share some stories about travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love modern and traditional folk music and Bruce Springsteen. Bit of Bob Dylan always goes down well too.

I enjoy anything by Martin McDonagh (the In Bruges guy) and Annie Hall is definitely up there with my favourite films.

I tend to go on personal recommendations for books, so end up reading some very different things - am always happy to swap advice on good things to read. I'm fully converted to the Kindle I'm afraid - although I do live the feel of a real book, the electronic version is just so much more practical for travelling!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Busked around the world with my guitar and harmonicas.

I also once went swimming with jellyfish. Which is not quite the same as swimming with dolphins, but it's a start at least.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you a harmonica solo, share a beer or three and would love to learn about the city/country that you happen to come from/live in!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll play a free house gig for you and your friends if you like!
