About Me

I finished my Master in experimental quantum optics in Germany and Portugal. Now I am working in the field of solar energy as a development engineer and project manager (partially from Spain).

Passionate about sailing (Iown a little boat with a friend of mine), diving (AOWD), bike tours, hiking and probably all other sorts of outdoor activity.

Biked trough Japan, currently I am tried to reach Istanbuld by bike starting in Vienna.

I spend some of my free time with 3D printing, electrotechnics, woodworking and the maker culture.
I like debating and thereby learning, cooking, going out or observe the wonders and details of an awaking city.

I don’t necessarily like the comfort of a short and superficial travel that only is dictated by the list of prepared main attractions. What remains besides the accidental discoveries are the encounters.

Basically, I believe that I can learn something from almost every person I meet - even if it only is something about myself (even though I have not experienced this on CS yet).

Sadly, I don’t have the capabilities to host guests at the moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I entered the Couchsurfing community when I went for my Erasmus to Lisbon and back then it was a great chance to get started in the city and not totally submerge in the local student bubble. I was amaze by the excitement of meeting complete strangers and exchanging different live models, philosophies, food or knowledge.
It is somewhat a challenging and fascinating construct that - in the end - broadens the horizon.

A simple place to rest and a good conversation with some food can enlighten the day of a true traveller - or bring the world to the host. What a potential symbiosis if it works.
