One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was lost and hitchhiking in Brunei, an international kendo competitor took me treasure-hunting with his friends from the local numismatics community on an old British settlement (converted into a tropical farm) and later served us all fresh coconut, papaya, and ambuyat, Brunei's national dish, before taking me to the Kampong Ayer (Water Village) to play bingo and socialize with local families until 1 AM.
