My French-speaking Belgian wife and I are more interested in hosting from time to time than in couchsurfing. We are a bit too old to be comfortable on a couch, but our home is spacious and we are gracious and we don't mind being the proverbial "house by the side of the road." Speaking a few languages is always helpful.

Music, Movies, and Books

My wife and I participate in a Czech Folk Dance Group. We are very involved in theatre, music, art and other cultural events in our small city. I have published a number of books, none of them commercial successes. My wife is an expert pysanky maker.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We teach Czech folk dance and my wife is a celebrated Louisiana pysanky maker.

Teach, Learn, Share

My wife makes pysanky and teaches to local school children. I have published 9 book, all commercial flops, but I enjoy writing nonetheless. My wife and I both speak French and English and taught our children to do the same.
