Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to travel across large portions of the globe in the coming years and thought it made sense to step into the community and get accustomed with it. What I've heard from friends who've used the site is that there are possibilities for incredibly interesting situations, conversations and connections to surface... Which I am well up for.

In the future, once I'm re-settled from exploring and jaunting, I'd want to return the favour and offer a sofa/bed/sofa-bed/shredded newspaper pile/etc. to the weary legged. For the moment I am relying on the good will of others :)

Oh, and maybe we can go and dance, party or have coffee too! Yeah!

Interests

I am an artist, and my practise is in moving image, although I also draw and work as a videographer. I'm a huge lover of cinema, radio and literature, walking/camping, and comedy/improv.

I live a relatively simplistic life, and aim to continue with this throughout my travels and explorations across continents. I'm heading to India in the autumn and plan to head over land back to Europe once the visa has run out. No idea how this is gonna work out, although at some point I expect I'll get stung on the arse by a scorpion.
